Lucrecia Martel’s astonishing follow-up to 'The Holy Girl' is a mysterious and intriguing tale of a bourgeois woman who may have killed someone or something while driving on dirt road. Dazed and confused, she tries to piece together what happened, while her husband systematically tries to erase her tracks. Martel’s third feature subtly explores the intricacies of class in a male dominated society, and its combination of exacting formalism and audacious approach to narrative and character has seen it justly cited as one of the great art films of the decade.
