Theatre director Rufus Norris’ feature debut is a family drama located on a private housing estate, where resentments simmer beneath a veneer of civility. Newcomer Eloise Lawrence plays Skunk, the daughter of a solicitor (Tim Roth). When she witnesses a neighbour (Rory Kinnear) assaulting a young man with learning difficulties, the harsh reality of the world around her comes sharply into focus and she realises how little she knows about life.
