Clint Eastwood tells the inspiring true story of how Nelson Mandela (Morgan Freeman, ‘The Dark Knight’) joined forces with the captain of South Africa’s rugby team, Francois Pienaar (Matt Damon, ‘The Informant’), to help unite their country. With Eastwood’s customary restraint, this adaptation of John Carlin’s novel pays tribute to two remarkable figures who tried to bring a divided nation together.
